The Maa Baglamukhi Aghor Maha Yagya is held annually since 2021, and the upcoming 2026 Yagya will be its sixth year in a row. It started with 5 lakh aahutis and has gradually expanded to become a huge spiritual event, but with the same sankalp and devotion.
The 36 lakh aahutis are described in the event material as being connected with Maa Baglamukhi's 36-akshari Mool Mantra. The aahutis form part of the mantra purashcharan and are performed as a structured spiritual sankalp rather than as a random number.
With 11 Yagya Kunds and 101 Acharyas chanting mantras and performing aahutis together, the gathering becomes a unified spiritual practice dedicated to Maa Baglamukhi's prasannata, blessings and the well-being of devotees and humanity.
“A vast collective sankalp of mantra, offering and devotion.”
11 sacred Kunds • 101 Acharyas • 36 Lakh Aahutis
Devotees participating in the Aghor Maha Yagya can keep intentions related to areas such as:
Maa Baglamukhi is traditionally worshipped by devotees seeking protection from adversities, opposition and obstacles that disturb their lives.
Those experiencing challenges in business, financial uncertainty or repeated setbacks may keep a sankalp for stability, prosperity and the removal of obstacles.
Devotees may also seek blessings for financial stability, abundance and prosperity in their homes and work.
For those seeking harmony in their relationships, the Yagya can become an occasion to pray for greater peace, understanding and stability within married and family life.
Some devotees approach spiritual practices with a sankalp for relief from perceived graha-related obstacles and difficult phases of life.
Maa Baglamukhi worship is also traditionally linked with the eradication of negative influences and negative spiritual practices as well. The intentions may be held by the devotees during the spiritual gathering.
It is truly amazing to see the scale of the spiritual gathering, even more so considering the participants.
The Maa Baglamukhi Aghor Maha Yagya will be performed using 11 sacred Yagya Kunds; 101 Acharyas will give aahutis using prescribed rituals and chanting of mantras.
The Mantra Diksha Practitioners are the Acharyas who are dressed in yellow attire. Their combined presence allows for the chanting, offerings, and ritual discipline to go on as one unified spiritual practice.
Being a witness to 101 Acharyas performing a Yagya of this scale itself is a very significant experience for the devotees.
These materials form part of the traditional ritual process through which the aahutis are offered into the sacred fire.
The quantities also give a sense of the sheer scale of the spiritual gathering. When we hear "36 lakh aahutis", it can sound like an abstract number. Seeing the preparation of the Samagri makes that number feel real.
Items offered in the traditional abhishek are milk, curd, ghee, honey, and sugar. The initiation of the spiritual assembly by Rudrabhishek makes the assembly more sacred and sets the mood of devotion prior to the actual Yagya.
For devotees, it's a reminder that a big spiritual gathering is not only about the final offering. All three stages of preparation, mantra chanting, and worship are all a part of the bigger sankalp.
Every devotee will have meals arranged every day during the three-day-long Maa Baglamukhi Aghor Maha Yagya. This seva is dedicated to ensuring that everyone can be part of the sacred assembly with ease, devotion, and a sense of unity.
A tiny candle can light a darkened room. One prayer can provide a person with hope. When that prayer is performed in the context of a massive collective spiritual event where 101 Acharyas, 11 Kunds and 36 lakh aahutis are performed, then it is on an extraordinary scale.
The Maa Baglamukhi Aghor Maha Yagya is a call to immerse yourself in that devotion, to hold a personal Sankalp and join the spiritual community in a celebration of Maa's grace and the well-being of humankind.
From 24 to 26 October, Ghaziabad will become the setting for this sacred gathering. If your heart carries a prayer, a sankalp or simply a desire to seek Maa Baglamukhi's blessings, you can become a part of this Maha spritual gathering according to your capacity.
